Brief: Girls’ tennis pulls away with CCS win over Saratoga

The girls’ varsity tennis team will move on to the semi-finals of CCS after beating number two seed Saratoga 4-3.

After losing to Saratoga twice during the regular season 4-3, number one singles player, Aashli Budhiraja (’14) was impressed with the way the team improved despite the two losses.

“This is definitely one of our best performances of the season.” Budhiraja said. “We were all extremely determined and pumped to get this win and we worked super hard this week.”

The big win came after number three doubles players Julianne Le (’14) and Madeline Lee (’15) defeated Saratoga’s number three doubles team, 7-5, 6-4, in the deciding match.

The Lady Vikes will take on Monta Vista at Los Gatos Swim and Racquet Club this Monday at 1:30pm.
