After six scoreless innings from Paly’s ace Isaac Kasevich (‘15), the Vikings came out on top, shutting out Homestead with a final score of 11-0.

Paly capitalized on pass balls and walks as four of their runs were unearned.

“Usually I will throw a lot of off speed pitches” Kasevich said.

By the third inning, the Vikings had jumped out to a 7-0 lead, highlighted by Owen Plambeck (’16) who had two run home runs.

In the bottom of the fourth, Justin Hull (‘16) drove in Ben Cleasby (‘17) with a double down the left field line. The next at bat, Alec Olmstead (‘16), ripped a line drive over the left fielder’s head, driving in Hull to make the score 9-0.

Paly’s final run came when Phil Lewis (‘15) was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded scoring Albert Han (‘16).

The Vikings dominated play for the whole game capping off the victory with a one, two, three inning from pitcher Ellis Obrien (‘15).

“It felt good. I could see a little fear in their eyes,” Obrien said. “It was a good feeling knowing that you had the upper hand mentally on them”.

The Vikings will play again this coming Friday at 4 p.m. in an away game.
