The Lady Vikes suffered a close loss to the Saratoga Falcons this afternoon after coming up short 4-3. The girls’ overall record for the season is 2-3, and this latest defeat brought their league record to a losing 1-3.

Playing the Saratoga singles one is talented Maddi Page (‘21). Kamilla Wong (‘20) is playing singles two in today’s match. Iris Li (‘20) is up against the number three singles player from Homestead. Lastly, Isa Cossio (‘19) is playing number four singles. Playing one of the duos match was Jackie Galbraith and Despina.

Page had a slow start winning the first set 7-6, but came out strong the second set and win 6-0. Page feels great with her performance after winning her match vs. a very talented senior from Saratoga.

“The reason that Saratoga is so good is their team is deep, which means they have really strong players all the way through, so there are no free matches” said Rachel Owens

Despite losing today Page feels like their team has been playing well with all of their losses being very close. “ We need to work on our tiebreakers (10 points that are played after opponents split sets) because we usually lose them. Every loss so far this season has been because of tiebreakers.” Page Said.
