The Paly girl’s water polo team lost to Los Gatos on Thursday night with a score of 7-4. Fans came to support the girls for their senior night game, bringing enthusiasm into the atmosphere.

“We really improved as a team since the last time we played them,” junior Brooke Hudacek said. “I’m happy we had a good team game for our senior night.”

Both teams fought relentlessly throughout the duration of the game. The Paly girls had a great senior night even without getting winning results due to their team communication, supportiveness, and overall enthusiastic energy.

“I think we came out really strong, with a very strong mentality that we were coming to play,” senior Paige Henry said. “We had a very strong defense and kept our offense moving.”

The team improved tremendously since the last time they played Los Gatos. They were able to figure out their offense and shut down their plays.

“There was a lot more chemistry, movement, and it was just a lot more fun,” junior Anne Threlkeld said.

The girls kept an aggressive attitude till the buzzer and played their last home game with spirit and passion.

“I literally couldn’t ask for a better senior night, everything from the decorations, fans, and the game itself,” Senior captain Sami Lee said. “We have been working towards this moment for four years and I’m so proud of our performance.”
