The Lady Vikes crushed Los Altos 14-1 Friday night.

The Vikings did not take long to strike first, as Ellen Goncher (‘18) scored a great goal after just a minute of gameplay. Just a minute later, the Vikings made some great passes around and eventually Charlotte Cheng (‘18) doubled the lead.

The Lady Vikes never looked back with Goncher and Cheng scoring a few more. Additional goals were also pitched in by Anna Seligson (‘18) and Sarah Shader (‘18).

Solid defense was played by the Vikes the entire game, only conceding a single mercy goal late in the game.

“It was a great confidence boost heading into the rest of the season,” Shader (‘18) said. “I’m looking forward to a really successful and fun season with this great group of girls.”

“We know that not every game will be such a big win like this,” Emma Staiger (‘18) said. “We have to keep working hard to maintain our position in the league.”
