As Paly boys laccrosse has only been around for around a decade, they went to CCS for the first time last season. The team had many ups and downs last year going for a four game winning streak followed by a 5 game losing streak. However, even with the losses, boys lacrosse made a comeback and qualified for CCS for the first time the program has been around at Paly. Unfortunately they lost in the first round against Menlo but qualifying means there is a lot to look foreward to this upcoming season.

“Our main goal this season is to make it back to CCS playoffs and hopefully make it farther into the bracket this year.” Junior Captain Beau Revenaugh said.

This year, the boys lacrosse team has 5 seniors with previous experience on varsity to boost the team’s level of play and encourage the rest of the team. As the team prepares for their games, Senior Captain Asher Friedman is unsure what the future holds.

“We lost lots of seniors so I really don’t know what to expect,” Friedman said, “But this year we have a young team which has brought lots of energy.”

With half the roster made up of sophomores, the team will need a lot of development especially when it comes to playing teams like Sequoia and MA. Paly hopes to become a big competitor in the league this season and need to play up and work hard in order to do so.

“I think that we just need to be confident in ourselves going into every game no matter the opponent and play with a lot of energy and competitiveness,” Junior Tyler Harrison said.

With big goals and even bigger shoes to fill, Paly boys lacrosse looks forward to playing well this season and making it far in CCS.
