Paly girls varsity softball fell to Fremont High School on Friday with a final score of 6-4. Being the first league game of the season, junior Anabelen Yanez is not disheartened.

“Despite losing, I think we played well, especially because it’s so early in the season,” Yanez said. “We all put in a great effort, so hopefully we can see a better outcome next time.”

Junior Hana Foster expands on this and is overall content with the performance of the team.

“Our hitting was tested against their talented pitcher, and even though we lost we were happy that it was a close game against a team we knew were a bit more experienced,” Foster said.

The team’s next home game is against Los Altos on March 27th.
