Paly boys swim and dive fell to Leland 86-84 and beat Leigh 111 – 59 at home in a double dual meet yesterday.

Unfortunately, since the Vikes had a tough week of training and another meet merely hours before, the boys lost their undefeated streak.

“Yesterday was a rough meet but we still had some positive swims,” senior captain Henry Gibbs said.

However, the boys will need to have the skills to maintain their endurance and speed over a two day meet, since both CCS and Leagues are multi-day meets, with prelims on one day, and finals on the next. Gibbs is confident that the team will be able to perform well over these two-day meets.

“We will learn to manage our energy better to swim well over both days of more important two day meets, like CCS,” Gibbs said.

The team has two meets remaining before Leagues: Monta Vista and Gunn.
