Fantasy Football Love/Hate Week 5

Fantasy+Football+Love%2FHate+Week+5

Talk about a bounce back performance. This week we executed beyond belief. We went 9/14, nailing the Le’Veon breakout game. This is the type of genius you have available to you. Make sure to read week 5’s edition before setting your lineup and trash talking. But if you have Mike Evans, you don’t need to read, you already have the win. You are welcome.

Quarterbacks we love:

Jameis Winston

New England’s defense has been absolutely terrible. Coming off a great game against a strong Giants secondary, he will keep it rolling this week. The worst defense in the league, Winston will rip them apart with 350 yards and 3 touchdowns. Look for Jameis and company to upset the patriots. 24 points.

Case Keenum/Sam Bradford

After losing Dalvin Cook to injury, the Vikings will need to rely more on their passing game. The Bears defense got destroyed last week by Aaron Rodgers and company and the Bears will follow suit. Start whoever starts at QB for the Vikings. 20 points.

Running backs we love:

Latavius Murray

Dalvin Cook was third in the NFL in rushing, and averaged 14 points per game. We can’t expect this kind of production from Latavius, but he was a solid flex. Don’t think he will be an RB1 but expect similar numbers as last year: 30 yards and a touchdown. 9 points.

LeSean McCoy

A rough outing for Shady so far this season, but this is the game where he gets his groove back. The Bills will demolish Cincinnati and I expect McCoy to finish with 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns. 22 points

Running backs we hate:

Jordan Howard

The Vikings defense has a long week to prepare for a struggling Bears offense. The Vikings will force rookie QB Mitchell Trubisky to throw the ball and stuff the box versus Jordan Howard. Howard would have had a bad week last week but got a garbage time touchdown. 8 points.

LeGarrette Blount

Coming off a hot week with 156 yards we don’t expect him to do it again against the Cardinals tough front. Blount is a guy who will never top 20 carries a game and unless he is being extremely productive with the rock he cannot be relied upon to top 10 points. He won’t be productive with the ball and won’t find his way to the end zone either. 5 points

Wide Receivers we love:

Stefon Diggs

Currently the #1 WR in fantasy football Diggs faces off against a weak bears secondary. Sam Bradford could be coming back this week, and if he does, the bears better be double teaming Diggs. 100 yards and a touchdown. 16 points.

Mike Evans

Here we go baby. The Patriots secondary has been getting toasted this year. You think they’re going to fix their problems against this 6 foot 5 beast? Nope. 24 points.

Wide Receivers we hate:

AJ Green

Making a rare appearance on the hate list, AJ Green will not be productive this week. The bills have a great pass rush and Dalton has been terrible this year. The pass rush is going to pester Dalton all night and we won’t have enough time to throw the ball. Green will not top 5 catches. 6 points.

Kelvin Benjamin

Darius Slay is an absolute monster who will shut down Benjamin. Newton does not have enough talent to fit the ball into tight windows so Benjamin will struggle against Slay’s tight coverage. 4 points.

Tight End we love:

Tyler Kroft

Dalton has been known to target his big guys in the red zone, and Kroft had a pair of touchdowns last week. If Eifert remains sidelined again this week, Kroft will catch another touchdown. 10 points

Tight End we hate:

Jared Cook

Cook is going to struggle this week because of Derek Carr’s injury. The Raider offense is going to have a tough time moving up and down the field because their offense relies on Carr. Expect Cook to struggle. 2 points.
