Vikes defeat Homestead to extend winning streak to 3

The Vikes had a strong showing at home against the Mustangs of Homestead. The team took an early lead with a goal from Valter Levander (‘18) from a through ball by Paul Thie (‘19). The Vikings took the lead into the half 1-0.

Midway through the second half the Vikings doubled their lead with another goal from Levander. This time without any help.

Thie had his second assist of the game when he helped Angel Antunez (‘18) score the third and final goal of the game. Keeper Jackson Druker (‘20) had a clean sheet.

After the game, keeper Kiran Misner (‘18) said, “We’ve done a good job defending and scoring wise and I’m really pleased with the performance today. Can’t ask for anything more than what we did today.”

This victory against the Mustangs gives the team a 3-0-1 record and second in the league behind Los Gatos.

Their next game is a league game against at Los Gatos on Friday.
