Paly Wrestling defeats Lynbrook, 54-35

Paly Co-ed wrestling blew out Lynbrook in their league play by a score of 54 to 35 at home Tuesday night.

Adar Schwarzbach (‘21) led the way for Paly, pinning his opponent, keeping up his streak of a pin in every match this year.

Although the Vikings won by a large margin in their second match, there were some negatives to the win, namely that they did not perform outstandingly well.

“Yeah, it will be good for us to learn from our mistakes without having to lose,” Tommy Hall (‘21) said.

Despite the sloppy play, the team was able to secure the win in part because Lynbrook is one of the worst teams in the league.

“They really aren’t good, so we are going to have to step up our play in order to keep winning,” Hall said.

Looking forward, the team’s main priority is to keep up their winning streak, even if it looks ugly.

Overall, the team will try to carry their momentum to crosstown rival Gunn this Thursday.
