The Paly boys basketball team came out with their first league win game against Homestead on Friday, January 14th.

After a short break from playing games due to players getting COVID, the boys came out full of energy and played hard against the Mustangs.

“We came back ready and never looked back,” junior Sean Hogan said.

The boys played aggressively throughout the entire game leading to a 59-49 victory.

“It was a good team effort to bounce back from our last league game and take the W,” junior Sean Hogan said.

Although the win was impressive, the Vikings know they will need to keep up their high level of play to build up a series of wins.

“All teams in the league are all a good competition and this was definitely a good start in our league,” junior Jackson Martin said.

This game was a good matchup for the Vikings, preparing them for the rest of their league games.

“This was certainly a game that tested our discipline and our ability to close out close games, and this is a great momentum builder for our team that I think will get us rolling for the rest of the year,” senior Sebastian Chancellor said.
