Yesterday night, the Paly varsity soccer team played their first game of the season against the Leland Trojans, and lost 2-1.

“We fought really hard and we’re just gonna keep growing,” junior Kiana Feldis said.

The Vikings moved up some members from their junior varsity team, including freshman Sarah Theiman, the subject of the photo above. The reason the Vikings were a bit short on players because many athletes are currently at a club tournament which is out of state.

“It was the first game of the season and we had a lot of people gone,” Feldis said.

The Vikings have another game tomorrow at Fremont High School, where they will play Carlmont at 1:30. They will still be missing some players, but, as Feldis said, are excited to “keep growing” as a team.
