The girl’s water polo team lost to Harker on Tuesday, 8-5. 

Despite this hard loss, Anne Threlkeld, the team goalie, played incredibly well. She had several stunning blocks and saves, helping the team throughout in spite of losing in the end.  

“We just weren’t really able to gain momentum,” Senior Emily Newman said.

The team felt as if they played relatively well, but not as well as they could have. And playing against Harker, a top team in the area requires everyone to be on their top game. 

The whole team is disappointed in this loss and is eager for the next time they can play Harker. 

“It was a tough-fought game,” Newman said, “We really wanted to win, but we will try hard next time too.”
