After many years of honing their skills, the girls field hockey team is ready to take the stage, led by senior captain Kellyn Scheel. The team has grown in size, enthusiasm, and overall technical skill.

“Our team was very skilled last year but our overall team chemistry was not a strong as it was the year before.” Scheel said. “We have all known each other for years now. I have these girls back and I know that they have mine. That is what makes me so confident about this season.”

Last year came as shock to many of the players since the team had won leagues the year before. Additionally, many strong senior players graduated and this year will be difficult to adjust without them.

“I am so excited to be on this team with all of my girls.” Joshi said. “I love them so much and I know we have been working so hard this off-season to make this the best season yet!”

Despite a disappointing end to the season last year with the team failing to qualify for CCS, they continue to keep their heads held high and are optimistic with the team’s new prospects.

“I think our team had some loose ends with our trust, but I truly believe we have tightened those ends and we will thrive this season.” Scheel said.

Overall the girls have high hopes for this team and see the potential to make it to CCS this season.
