Paly boys water polo won their game yesterday at home against Harker 10-5.
“I’m very proud about how we came together today, especially on the defensive end,” junior Brian Stewart said.
Last year, the Vikings’ rivalry with Harker was strong. They defeated Harker in the finals of the De Anza League tournament, earning the league champion title. Before that game, however, the Vikings had lost 3 times to the Harker Eagles, all in close games. Because of this rivalry, yesterday’s win was a great triumph for the Vikes.
“This is a big win and we’re excited to continue into the second round of games,” Stewart said.
The water polo season is now heading into its second round of games, as Stewart said, meaning that the Vikes will begin facing off against opponents for the second time this season. The boys’ next game is next Tuesday, the 4th, against Homestead.
