Girls volleyball falls to Mountain View 3-0
October 12, 2022
Paly girl’s volleyball lost to Mountain View on Tuesday night by a score of three sets to none.
“Throughout the entirety of the match we didn’t play as well as we wanted to and a lot of that comes with our mentality,” senior libero Jess Watanabe said. “There were instances where we weren’t mentally present which affected how we played.”
The team came out flat in the first set, and they were unable to regain their balance from then on.
The Vikes have had a tough skid, losing seven straight with their last win coming against Homestead on September 17th.
The 13-10 Vikings can turn things around on Thursday night, however, when they face off against the 8-11 Los Gatos Wildcats.
Despite recent struggles, the team is still hopeful for what the rest of the season entails.
“Our team is resilient and we continue to work hard in practice, so I hope the season will take a positive turn,” senior captain Evie Kramer said. “We started off really strong but I think general fatigue from school and the season has been getting the best of us, but I know that we can turn things around.”
