The first season of Girls Flag Football at Paly is set to kickoff in September with high hopes and enthusiasm. Freshman Lucy Bothe shares her excitement, saying, “I am excited to [play] flag football because I will get to be part of something new at Paly. I grew up playing football with my family for fun which makes me excited to play for Paly.”
The team is led by head coach Bradford Exantus, better known as Coach X, who brings a wealth of experience and passion to the program, along with high expectations of the girls. Coach X, partnered with his brother, who serves as assistant coach, has fostered a strong sense of teamwork, chemistry, and commitment to excellence among the players. “The coaches are two brothers who have a really good relationship with each other, which [contributes] to the chemistry of the team as a whole,” Bothe notes.
With a mix of camaraderie and excitement, the Paly Girls Flag Football team is prepared to make its mark in the highly anticipated inaugural season. The combination of Coach X’s leadership and the players’ determination promises a thrilling start to this new chapter in Paly athletics.
