Paly field hockey suffered a tough loss to Saint Francis today at home 3-0.
“Going into the game we were expecting it to be hard but we all put our best out on the field and made some really good breakaways,” senior Alyssa Lin said. “The energy and intensity was up and the team played really well together, I’m super proud of my teammates for making deliberate passes, trying out new skills, and pushing even when they got tired.
Even though the team was not able to put up a goal, the girls were still able to use this game as a learning experience and a way to try out new plays, skills and offensive and defensive strategies that will be useful in future games throughout upcoming league play.
“We had a tough opponent and while we lost, this game was a really good lesson for what we can improve on the rest of the season and what we have been doing well,” senior Polina Vanhulsen said.
The next field hockey home game is on September 24th, so come out to support your Vikings!
