Paly girl’s field hockey played Fremont in a home game on Thursday, September 12. With good weather and a positive team mentality, the team went out and dominated, winning 2-0.
“The game went very well since we won by two points against a team that used to be in a higher league than us, so I’m really glad that we were able to do so,” Sophomore Hannah Niebuhr said. “However a challenge we faced was that we also scored in the second quarter but the ref didn’t count it, and the only other time we scored was 10 minutes before the game ended.”
The team is just starting off their season and they are proud of the team chemistry that is starting to build.
“I think we did good as a team and are starting to build some team chemistry,” Sophomore Ella Renazco-Sperling said. “ We started the season off good and I’m excited to see how we do.”
Overall, the team is having fun and improving at the same time. They hope to continue to win and build a stronger team chemistry.
