Paly and Gunn always has rivalries for all of their sports. Boys water polo is one of those sports. Junior Felix Ryans explains the rivalry comes more from outside the schools.
“There’s a rivalry because we play against each other with a lot of outside-of-school clubs,” Ryans said.
Both Paly and Gunn were excited to play against their rivals, but going into the game, Paly was showing how much more they wanted to win just like they did last season.
“Yeah, we’re ready to play,” Ryans said. “But more importantly we’re ready to win this game”
Or so they thought because, by the end of the game, Paly ended with the upset against Gunn, breaking the 3-0 streak that they´ve held for the last 2 years.
Although they lost the game and their streak, Paly can still hold their head up because they have another game against Gunn soon.
On 10/17, they will play again and play for the opportunity to start a new winning streak or continue the losing streak.
The game will be a decider on who is the better team so everyone should try and make it out to support our Vikings
