The Vikings were coming out of the weekend with high hopes after performing well in their tournament, but the promising week was cut short after a tough loss to Los Gatos last Tuesday.
The Vikings were able to hang close to the Wildcats for most of the game, but struggled to close it out.
“It was a pretty close game up until the fourth quarter, then after that we didn’t play as much as a team,” junior Jack Spitzer said.
Considering that Los Gatos is undefeated in league and continues to dominate, the Vikings feel like they held up pretty well.
“I think that we played well, we were missing some key players, but there is always some space to improve,” junior Felix Ryans said.
Spitzer hoped to leave the loss in the past and look forward to their big game against Gunn.
“We are preparing against Gunn by conditioning a lot and getting ready physically and mentally,” Spitzer said. “I feel like we’re ready because we know that we can win and we have a lot of faith in our teamwork.”
Unfortunately, the Vikings were unable to win against Gunn and fell to an overall record of 7-11. The team hopes to win their next home game against Fremont on October 24th.
