The Paly girls volleyball fall to Los Gatos 3-2 on Thursday night.
The team started the game strong winning the first set but falling to Las Gatos in the second and third sets. In a decisive moment in the game, the team rallied together and blew the fourth set open taking it 25-17.
But in the final moments of the game, Los Gatos took the last set 15-12.
The team felt good coming into the match with an undefeated record and a five-game win streak.
“We went into the game with really high confidence because we had been undefeated in league, but the Los Gatos team played well and I think we were a bit shocked,” junior Emily Mulkey said.
Despite this single loss, the team has moved on and is even more fired up for the next time they place them on senior night.
“We fought hard and we’ll play them again on their senior night, which will be cool to get revenge!” Mulkey said.
