Paly Field Hockey went over to Los Gatos to face the Cats on a Tuesday night. Los Gatos being the dominant team they are with only one current loss so far, the Vikings knew they had to put in a great effort in their first matchup against Los Gatos.
Unfortunately, the Cats were able to put up 7 goals onto the score board this game, but Paly is aware that this is a loss they can also come back from, and play stronger next time.
“I think that we definetly could have done better this game, I think we just got really frustrated after they scored a few goals on us,” Junior Charlotte Barclay said. “This made it easier for them to continue scoring more.”
The team knows within their abilities that they can score on or stop them from taking other shots. Los Gatos being one of the strongest teams in league is being taken into account too, however that’s never a reason to not play hard.
“There are definitely some things that we need to work on as a team but considering the fact that Los Gatos is one of the strongest teams in the league, it was a pretty decent game,” Barclay said. “Wish us better luck next time playing them, I believe we’ll play hard and put in our biggest effort.”
Vikings play Los Gatos again for one of their last league games on the 31st of October.
