This past fall, Paly had its first-ever girls’ flag football season. The team was able to bond and build strong friendships, making it a successful season on and off the field.
“This year was the first year of Palo Alto flag football and throughout the season we created a team and family,” freshman Lucy Bothe said.
Although the team endured some tough losses, they also fought and won hard matches against very skilled teams.
“We improved a lot throughout our season and it showed through the games,” Bothe said.
Following the team’s first year together, the girls are eager to see what the future holds, and are committed to growing together as a cohesive, dedicated, and goal-oriented team.
“I met people I would not have met otherwise and I am forever grateful for that. It was a great season with great people,” Bothe said.
