The Paly girls golf team dominated in their season, winning the majority of their games and losing only to Gunn High School.
With many new and returning players, the golf team started off strong in their match against Los Altos, a rival team.
“It was a super exciting way to start the season especially since it was an away match at the most challenging course we’ll play all season,” senior Alexa Pineda said.
The Paly girls golf team then went on to play in a tournament. They placed tenth shooting a score of 336, not far behind the winning score of 288.
“Considering our #2 player did not play, I think our team did really well and is moving in the right direction,” freshman Emma Wang said. “The whole team had a fun time playing with and meeting new people.”
The rest of their season consisted of tough matches against teams like Gunn, Lynbrook, Monta Vista, Saratoga, and Los Gatos. Most ended in success for the paly girls team.
“I felt like our season went really well and it was better than I expected. it was really fun to play in all the matches this year and bond with the team. It was super exciting to be league champs for my final season, this season was a great way to end my high school golf career,” Pineda said.
The team started their league tournament yesterday and will continue on to CCS next week.
“I’ve really enjoyed being able to play with the team throughout the season, and I’m truly grateful to my teammates for always putting in their best efforts,” Angelina Chen said.
