Paly girls volleyball loses to St. Francis 3-0

Fans really showed up for the Paly varsity girls volleyball team in their game against St.Francis with a final score of 0-3 with St. Francis taking the win.

The game started out rough for Paly with outstanding plays by St. Francis but was turned around quick with teriffic serves from junior Kylie Yen and excellent tips by Nika Chapin. The crowd was shaken by the aggressive hits and exceptional team spirit on both teams.

“There was a lot of fans and definitely a lot of people came out to support us,” junior Kylie Yen said.

The team fought hard during every play and showed tremendous determination throughout the game losing by only a few points in the last set.

“Obviously coming into the game we know they are a good team,” senior Jess Wantanabe said. “I think we had a bad mindset coming into the game and we just did not play our best.”

The Vikings put up a good fight to this highly accomplished team and ended the 3 sets with scores of 25-14, 25-11 and 25-22. They hope to grow as a team and come back from this loss in their next game against Cupertino.
