Being a private school, Harker has always been a formidable opponent in the league since they recently joined. Last time the two teams clashed, Harker came out on top in an upset.
However, this time around the Vikings rallied together and took down Harker with an impressive score of 10-5.
“We played incredibly well against Harker,” junior Sophia Ahn said. “We adjusted defensively and were very prepared going into it, everyone brought their A-game.”
This was the last game of the regular season for the Vikings, so they remained disciplined throughout the game to ensure the win and finish the regular season with a bang.
“It was a great end to the regular league season especially since our games have always been close with Harker in the past couple of years. I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish at league champs,” senior Mary Henderson said.
Despite the big win, the team stayed focused and disciplined, focused on whats ahead.
“It was a high-energy game and we had fun, we need to be more confident and creative, but we had fun,” sophomore Grace Henderson said.
Next week, the Vikings move on to SCVAL league playoffs, and due to their success in the regular season have been given second seed, and get to play a lower seed team in their first game.
