The Palo Alto High School badminton team beat Homestead on the Vikings’ home court on Thursday.
“We really brought our game to the court yesterday,” Alex Carter (’12) said. “Homestead didn’t know what hit them. They came in expecting to win but we had major upsets in all division.”
Paly won with strong performances by Kevin Kwan (’11) in singles, as well as Bryan Young (’12) and Jae Park (’12) in doubles.
“Kevin Kwan dominated as varsity two mens singles,” Carter siad. “Bryan Young and Jae Park had an intense and heart stopping game coming back from what appeared to be an imminent loss.”
Carter looks forward to a successful playoff run, hoping to repeat their league win last year.
“All we really need to work on our pregame cheer, because thats the only way to build true team unity.”
