Paly girls lacrosse lost 13-5 against Los Gatos tonight. “Our defense did a great job today,” sophomore Caroline Groden said. “Ella Bishop and Zoe Quintana came up huge with interceptions.”
The girls were battling head-to-head with the Cats. At halftime, the score was 4-4, and it was clear both teams wanted the win. Senior midfielder Ellie Roth believes the Vikings crushed it in this game.
“The energy during this game was astronomical on the draw,” Roth said. I loved having my girls with me, and it felt amazing to be tied to LG.”
During the last game against LG, the girls lost 18-10, but kept their energy up throughout this second match-up. Senior captain defender Ella Bishop worked her tail off during the game, and although the team fell in the end, she understands the sweat that each player put out on the field.
“I think this was a very competitive game considering the difference in the outcome of it last time,” Bishop said. “We had some long stands on the defensive end that we can be quite proud of.”
The girls are looking forward to two more games in the league season, with senior night coming up on May 1st. Good luck lady Vikes!
