Paly varsity track took part in CCS trials on May 11th.
Since it was CCS trials, this meet was the qualifier to see who would advance to CCS finals on May 18.
“I’m pretty happy with how I did, I won my heat in the 1600, won the 3200 overall, and we placed 4th in our heat in the 4×4,” junior Kinga Czajkowska said. “I didn’t set any PRs, but I have another shot at that during CCS and potentially states.”
Sophomore Amaya Bharadwag ran the 800 and the 4×4. Bharadwag won the 800 and ran a PR. If she hits that time again in the CCS finals, she’ll automatically qualify to states.
With the determination of the team members, Paly varsity track and field aims to secure titles at the CCS Track and Field Finals scheduled for Saturday, May 18, at Gilroy High School.
