The Paly swim dominated Menlo Atherton and Saint Francis in a double dual meet meet on 2/24. Paly scored 112 to 58 against Saint Francis and 134 to 24 against Menlo Atherton.

This was not a traditional meet, as swim meets are usually between two teams instead of three. But despite the extra competition, the swim team rose up for the challenge. Alex Ng (’24) commented on the meet, acknowledging that most of the team’s seniors had not returned from their club season yet.

“Even without seniors, we still won this meet, and I am really proud of the sophomores and other juniors,” Ng said.

This meet displayed just how strong the Paly swim team was, even without a bulk of their team. This is a massive confidence booster for the rest of the team going forward, showing how deep this team is.

Ng sees this meet as a sign of how the rest of the season will turn out.

“This sets us up for big things late this season, hoping to win CCS and have as many people qualify for states as possible,” Ng said.
