The Paly boys swim and dive team beat Los Gatos 138-48 at a home meet on Friday night.
“I think today’s meet was absolutely amazing,” senior captain Ethan Chien said.
The boys team had a dominant meet, earning a commanding lead over the Cats. For diving, Gunnar Grubbs, Mateo Diaz and Charlie Miller went 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and the swimmers swept the relays.
“I think we won pretty much every single event for the guys,” Chien said.
Coach Danny Dye was happy with the performances from all the swim and dive teams.
“All 4 teams did a great job and are showing not only their strength, but their depth as well,” Dye said.
Their next meet will be away, this Friday, against Los Altos. Chien said the team is looking forward to the season, especially coming off of two wins this week against two strong competitors: Los Gatos and Homestead.
“I’m looking forward to the rest of the season because we’re looking really strong right now,” Chien said.
