Paly boys Swim and Dive beat Los Altos last Thursday 210 to 139 at home on their senior night.
The Vikings went into the meet determined to defend their league title and defeat the Los Altos Eagles. During the meet, seniors on both teams were recognized for their hard work by Coach Danny Dye.
Dye gave a heartfelt speech that moved many swimmers. “I thought that the speech by Danny was very sweet,” Lachlan Kirby (‘24) said. “It was nice to hear that he thinks so highly of us.”
The boys pushed themselves this meet, some working extra hard to perform well for their senior night. “The meet was pretty up and down, but I did a lot better than I thought,” Kirby said. “Overall it was a fun meet and I’m excited for the future.”
With Leagues around the corner, this was a crucial win for the Vikings.
