Palo Alto Girl’s basketball defeated their crosstown rival Gunn on Friday night with a score of 40-26.

The Vikings started off the game down. At the end of the first quarter, Paly was down 8-10, but it was nothing they couldn’t come back from.

Starting their second quarter comeback strong, the Vikings were able to take control of the game, and they finished off the half in the lead over Gunn 18-15.

The Vikings had no problem holding onto their lead in the third quarter, as they continued to widen the scoring gap.

Finishing off the game, Paly was able to keep controlling the play as Alexis Harris (‘16) had a long streak of scoring, increasing the Vikings lead, as the Vikings ended the game in victory.

The Vikings will play their next game against Saratoga at home, at Gunn High School, on Tuesday, February 2 at 7 pm.
