Coming off a narrow victory against Silver Creek, the Vikings put together back to back wins after defeating Mountain View at home in their first league game. The team was missing some players due to winter break, but were still able to pull off the win.
“I think we performed great as a team and it was an amazing start to league this season,” junior Cami Ogawa said.
The Vikings started the game strong, achieving a 5 point lead at the end of the first quarter and an 11 point lead at half.
“We played really strong defense and everyone was aggressive on offense, so we gained a pretty big lead at the end of the first half,” freshman Abby Neumann said.
This was a big win for the team as they head into the rest of the league games. Their next home game is on January 14th against Santa Clara.
“We can keep the winning streak going by coming out every game with the same energy and continuing to talk and communicate on the court,” Neumann said.
