Paly boy’s basketball played another league game against Milpitas, going into the game tied with Paly for the first seed in their league. The Vikings hoped to carry momentum into the game from their win against cross-town rivals Gunn High School.
Paly took an early lead, going into halftime with a 6-point lead. The lead was cut short as Milpitas went on a 14-6 run in the 3rd quarter, with the Vikings going into the fourth quarter with a deficit of 2.
“The game went pretty well, they had a pretty big run, but we were able to weather the storm, Senior Jorell Clark said.
The Vikings battled back and did not let up, going on a huge 15-6 run in the fourth quarter to win the game with a final score of 44-37.
“I think we played really tough today, it wasn’t a perfect game,” Senior Gavin Haase said. “We struggled to score at times but we played well enough to win and improve to first in the league”
Paly is currently the number one seed in the Santa Clara Valley De Anza league, and hope to continue up their undefeated record in league against Los Altos this Friday.
