Paly girls basketball faced the Wilcox Chargers at home on January 21 in a narrow, intense game.
The Vikings lost the close, competitive game by a score 53-46 in favor of Wilcox.
Even though Paly lost, the Vikings took away multiple positives from the victory after performing well in the first three quarters and most of the fourth quarter.
“We did a great job rebonding on the offensive and defensive end and we were able to execute our plays well and score in the paint,” Sophomore Ella Hoy said.
However, the Vikings had a rough fourth quarter. Not being able to execute in the fourth quarter ultimately led to the loss.
“The game was really close throughout but they were able to outscore us in the fourth quarter and win,” Sophomore Ella Hoy finished.
The Vikings look to finish the final third of their season strong with key games Gunn and Mountain View. They will eventually get a rematch with Wilcox in Santa Clara on February 11.
