Paly boy’s basketball played another league game against Los Altos on Friday, February 7, beating Los Altos 65-27. The Vikings focused strongly on their defensive efforts in this game.
“In order to be able to win league we knew it was a game that we had to get,” Senior Jorell Clark said, “But it wouldn’t be an easy one because they’re a desperate team looking for wins so we knew we had to be a resilient group”
The game started with Los Altos scoring 5 quick points but then Paly answered.
“Our defense really picked up and throughout the rest of the game held them under 30 points,” Senior Jorell Clark said. “While our offense was able to do the rest and ultimately led to the blowout win”
This was a stark difference from their last league game against Milpitas.
“We bounced back great after our first league loss on Wednesday,” Senior Gavin Haase said. “We had great attention to detail on defense and did a great job only letting up 27 points”
Paly is currently tied as the number one seed in the Santa Clara Valley De Anza league and hoping to continue to add to their win column.
