Paly Girls Basketball bested the Saratoga Falcons on February 7 in a high-energy match, securing a 41-25 victory.
The Vikings showcased strong chemistry and communication, bringing the team together for success.
“A huge part of that win was our team energy. We were playing well together, communicating, and we all played hard because we wanted that win,” sophomore Abby Neumann said.
The fourth quarter was a great morale boost, with chemistry bringing the team together for a well-played quarter.
“In the fourth quarter, we had some great consecutive offensive and defensive possessions and we were up quite a bit,” freshman Sophie Li said.
This game was in the second round of the league, where the Vikings played the teams they previously lost to in the first round, giving them an opportunity to bounce back from their previous defeats and demonstrate a course correction.
“It is encouraging to play each team twice, allowing us to grow from mistakes we made the first time around,” Li said.
The Vikings now aim to win at least one of the next three games to make the playoffs. With their growing confidence and teamwork, the team is optimistic about their chances of continuing their season.
