Coming out of a close and exciting previous win against Burlingame to win their tournament, the Vikings hold the momentum and the odds in their favor going into their game against Homestead on Tuesday night.
Homestead held a previous record of 3-5 before playing Paly, stacking the odds in favor of the Vikings who are on a six-game win streak with zero losses.
Ultimately, Paly handily took home a win 59-42 after dominating since the first quarter, extending their winning streak.
“The referees were calling every single foul in existence, and I found it pretty annoying since I have a physical play style,” senior Aiden Hangebrauck said. “[Other than that] the game was quite boring… We were up double digits for the entire game and secured the win.”
As always, the Viking’s minds were set on improvement during the game, thinking of their future in the league and building other members of the roster up.
“I thought the game went well, there is always room for improvement, but in the end, we got the win,” junior Hudson Mar said.
The Vikings will play Menlo Atherton on Saturday afternoon, another undefeated team that will produce a tough matchup for Paly.
“We have our eyes set on the MA game on Saturday which will be big since both teams are undefeated, it will be a good match and we are excited for it,” Hangebrauck said.
