Coming off of a good 61-49 win against Los Altos, the boys basketball team was on a 3 game win streak coming into Tuesday’s match-up against Milpitas.
Milpitas coming into Tuesday were only a game behind PALY in the De Anza basketball league, with a 10-3 record compared to PALY’s 11-3 record.
Despite holding Milpitas to only 14 points and being up 9 points going into halftime. The team fell apart in the second half and lost the game 46-41.
“In the second half we let our guard down and let them come back.” Senior Tyler Martin said. “Also our shots weren’t falling and we couldn’t get anything going our way.”
After the loss PALY has slipped to 3rd in the league, now overtaken by Milpitas.
The team has a promising schedule up ahead, facing Gunn on Saturday, and Mountain View and Wilcox the following week.
