Last night, the Paly boys soccer team played Fremont at home but lost to them with a final score of 3-2.
Fremont was able to secure a goal on the first play of the game, giving them the early lead. Soon after, another goal was scored by them, leaving the score at 2-0 for Fremont.
But the Paly boys were able to fight back.
“We were able to score off a good combination,” Alec Bonnard (’25) said, having been a part of the goal-scoring play for the Vikings. Bonnard assisted Otis Ibsen (’25) for Paly’s first goal of the game.
“Then for our last goal, another good combination led to Anzel crossing it to Redmond for a top-corner finish,” Bonnard said. “The end of the game was very frantic as we scrambled to get another goal in the last minutes of the game, but to no avail.”
With this, the game ended with Fremont victorious. The Paly boys will play them again at the end of the January, on Fremont’s turf.
