The Paly boys varsity soccer team overcame Monta Vista at home in a narrow 1-0 win on Saturday, extending their undefeated start to the season.
The Vikings took the lead through senior Lucas Yuan, but towards the end of the game, things began to get heated with the Vikings picking up a number of yellows and two red cards.
“I feel the team played well although there could have been more combinations and we could have continued connections passes near the end of the game,” junior Oliver Payne said.
Despite the unfavorable situation, the team banded together and managed to hold on to grab their fourth win of the season.
“I think our team has a lot of potential moving forward if we continue to improve as we have been.” Payne said.
Up next, the Vikings visit the Westmont Warriors on December 16th, hoping to continue their lightning start to the season.
“Our goal from the beginning has been to win CCS, and from here the only option is to continue winning.” junior Cole Baker said.
