Paly alum Davante Adams (’11) was named to the freshman All-American team as a wide receiver. Adams was the only receiver from the Mountain West Conference to be honored with the award.

Adams led the conference in receiving yards and touchdowns as a red-shirt freshman. This was good enough for fourth in the country in touchdown receptions and fourteenth in the country in total yards. He also received the award for Freshman of the Year in his conference.

Davante played an integral part of the Bulldogs offense. Every game in which Adams had over 100 receiving yards, Fresno State was victorious. This was good enough to make him a candidate for the Biletnikoff Award which honors the top receiver in the nation.

We at The Viking would like to congratulate Davante on all of his success. We wish him luck in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl where he and the Bulldogs will face off against the SMU Mustangs.
