Paly tennis took to the court against Monta Vista yesterday on a cloudy afternoon. The Vikings struggled early with Austin Leung (’14) the #1 on the team going down in straight sets. Monta Vista continued its dominance, sweeping all four singles matches. Aditya Mahadevan (‘14) and Mikael Lassooy (‘13) won the only match for the Vikings 7-6 6-2, at number one doubles.
Singles player Blake Smith (’14) expressed his optimism for the future of Paly tennis.
“I think each of us have given it our all every match no matter the opponent,” Smith said. “As long as the team continues its high-focus play, we should come out on top in most matches this year.”
