Paly boys waterpolo defeated Los Altos 12-9 Tuesday night. Leading up to the match, Los Altos has had a string of inconsistent victories, losing to bottom table teams while beating teams at the top of the league.
“They were a difficult team to game plan for. We knew that they could be a really good team and had the potential to play super well, so we had to be on our best game to win,” junior Roan Haney said.
The first quarter was even between the two sides, before Los Altos pulled ahead in the second. Excitement for the home side rose when Paly regained the lead in the third. When the time ran out, the final score was 12-9 in favor of Paly.
“I feel like we played a really good game. Everyone performed super well, and with some people out we compensated with very good gameplay, and ultimately brought it back after the second quarter for a win,” Haney said.
