Last season, the boys varsity soccer team ended on top, winning the league championship title. They dominated game after game and their title was a testament to their hard work.
Nine of the players on the team were nominated for the SCVAL all-league awards. Overall, the team was seeded eighth in CCS but in the quarter-finals of Open Division CCS, they lost 1-0 to the number one-ranked team.
“I think this season will go well because we have a lot of promising players and good team chemistry,” Wilson Ernst (’25) said. “But, we have four seniors and unfortunately, three of them are currently injured.”
The boys have been training hard and pre-season has gone well so far, having won their first few pre-season games.
“So far we have started our first four games undefeated and so we aim to keep that going,” junior Alec Bonnard said. “We are, for the most part, a young team, so because almost all of the players are first-year varsity players, we have a lot to learn this year. As a team, we are definitely all excited to build off of last season’s success and are looking to make CCS again.”
