Coming off a close 16-14 loss to Monta Vista the week prior, Paly Badminton team hosted Lynbrook for the last game of the season this Tuesday.
Before last weeks loss, the team was on a season best 2 game win streak, and coming into the match against Lynbrook the team was trying to finish the season on a roll.
The team’s previous match-up with Lynbrook resulted in a 27-3 loss and Paly Badminton was eager to get revenge. That game was the first match of the season and the team has improved a lot.
“The team has gotten a lot better as the season has gone on,” Senior Eric Chen said. “We have also figured out our lineups better and have grown a ton overall.”
Unfortunately, a similar result to the previous match-up was all that was in store for the team, the final score ending 28-2 in favor of Lynbrook.
“We played a really tough team, but we played really well and fought hard,” Sophmore Kamili Fossati-Moiane said. “It was a rough way to finish the season but we tried our best.”
The team finishes the season 3-8, and looks forward to a promising next season.
