Paly destroyed Carlmont High on March 28th scoring 13 goals and only conceding 4. While their record at the time was 5-3 they needed to win this game to bring back the momentum they forfeited after their 10-3 loss to Menlo Atherton.
Although there may have been a lot riding on this game Sophomore Lucas Grodnitzky felt that the team worked well together and provided a lot of hard work.
“We played good, we kept doing good passes and maintained good pressure” Grodnitzky said.
With only letting in 4 goals the Vikings defense dominated Carlmonts offense not giving them much of a chance to breathe. What won them the game however was their offense as they put in the work to score the 13 goals.
The boys look forward to playing against a good Burlingame team in 2 weeks giving them plenty of time to practice a prepare for the game ahead.
“Looking to the future I think we are going to do great,” Grodnitzky said.
